Pontius Pilate
Tell me that Pontius Pilate is innocent and I will pour water over your head.
Maybe then, you'd taste responsibility that he tried to wash off.
Respect is not the word to hide behind
as crimes happen before your eyes.
You do not have bloody hands,
but you are stained with everything you tried to rub.
You cannot stand in the middle ground,
while justice is trapped on a far-fetched land.
Rotten behind some cold bar cells
yet the criminals you idolize are freely spending their time.
It must have been easy,
to relatively change color
once your name starts to sound funny.
an insensitive drama queen
who throws a bucket of shady empathy through tears.
an insensible person who flaunts golds
but has seemed to lose the sense of the ones you cry about
an indifferent human to those wounded ones
just because they've been given a ticket to a grandiose show.
Courageous is not the word to describe the moments
when you defended your irresponsible lines.
It is not bravery to raise a white flag
for the sake of not being persecuted
It is bravery when you have accepted your mistakes,
and defeat from a fight that should not have been there.
Redeem yourself, not by crayons, or hearts.
but with actions.
So stop washing your delicate hands,
scrubbing each word you threw
while you sat at your unaffected throne.
Good for you.
But how about those you splashed with your ignorance?
and your defensive disguise,
playing like a victim,
forced, and coerced
by the truth.
I guess it must have been easy
to gain sympathy
than to take responsibility.
