in every version of it

ive never liked the future
i had no plans.
my feet is but a stoned pair
standing in the middle of the now.
i am stuck
living at the moment
just surviving each strike of the clock.
but since you held my untouched hands,
its like i had a timeline so carefully built.
ive had four hundred future events laid out
and youre at the center of my tomorrow.
you are there when my eyes begin to open
and when the sun decides to sleep
you are in my very notes
not just a muse for my poetry
but the poems itself
—so difficult to write—.

now,
you are in every coffee that i sip,
an unfamiliar yet so familiar taste that my lips have met,
waking me up from my hibernation
and my day is never complete without you.
you are the discoverer of my heart
that have been hidden underneath my sleeves,
a dead organ that have been of no use for years,
currently beating a pace that is a stranger
not just to me but many.
you took the trust
that i have been refusing to give,
— i handed it to you nicely—.

ive never liked the future,
but i love it now,
i look forward to every version of it,
because you are in each and every one of them.
